Two Women Held in Terror Probe After Pro-Palestine Protest
Two women have been arrested by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command following a public appeal linked to a pro-Palestine protest in central London earlier this month. The appeal, widely covered in the media, urged the public to help identify three women involved in the demonstration.
On October 30, the two women, aged 29 and 44, turned themselves in at a south London police station after recognising themselves in circulated images. They were arrested on suspicion of inviting support for a proscribed organisation, under the Terrorism Act 2000. Both remain in custody at a west London police station.
Public Hunt Continues for Third Woman and Man Waving Hamas Placard
Police are still on the lookout for a third woman spotted in social media footage from the Whitehall protest on October 14. She is described as having dark skin and wore light brown trousers, a red long-sleeved top, a blue denim jacket tied at the waist, a light blue medical mask, and a dark head scarf or bandana. She also carried a dark red shoulder bag.
Officers also want to identify a man seen waving a Hamas-supporting placard during a Bond Street rally on October 21. He has short hair, light skin, and wore a blue jacket, a pale shirt, a stripy scarf, and light trousers or jeans.

“We thank everyone who has come forward so far. Our officers remain determined to crack down on terrorism, both online and on the streets,” said Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Counter Terrorism Command.
