Mum begs for return of treasured handmade rug accidentally donated to charity shop

One-of-a-kind pink rug vanishes in charity mix-up

A heartbroken mum from the Isle of Wight is desperately trying to get back a precious pink rug she made by hand for her daughter. The sentimental piece was mistakenly donated to a Cowes charity shop by the child’s grandmother.

Charity shop already passed rug on

Simone Casford, a mum of three, reached out to the shop hoping to recover the beloved item. Unfortunately, the rug has already found a new home.

Appeal goes out for help tracking down rug

“This rug means the world to us,” Simone said. “I’d love to have it back.” Anyone with information or who can help is urged to contact Simone Casford immediately.
