Two Arrested in Tottenham Murder Probe as Police Hunt Tyler McDermott’s Killers
Detectives have made a breakthrough in the murder investigation of 17-year-old Tyler McDermott in Tottenham. Two 19-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, 15 April, and remain in custody at a North London police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the Met’s Specialist Crime Command investigation, said: “These two arrests show the progress we’re making. But there is still a long way to go to find everyone involved in Tyler’s murder.”
He added: “There were lots of people in the area at the time. I urge anyone who was there or has any information to come forward immediately.”
Late-Night Shooting Shocks Tottenham
The drama unfolded on Thursday, 13 April, at around 4.20am when police were called to Norman Road, N15. Tyler was found with a gunshot wound and rushed to hospital, but tragically died the next day.
Specialist officers continue to support Tyler’s grieving family. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Sunday, 16 April, at Poplar Mortuary.
