Two Men Nabbed in Sidcup Kidnap Sting

A carefully planned police raid in Sidcup has led to the arrest of two men suspected of kidnap, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.

The dramatic swoop happened at around 5pm on Wednesday, 16 July, on Blackfen Road as officers executed a targeted operation.

Arrests Tied to Separate London Kidnap Probe

The men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested in connection to an ongoing investigation linked to a kidnap allegation first reported elsewhere in London on Friday, 11 July.

“Two men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap,” a Met Police spokesperson said. “They remain in police custody pending further enquiries.”

So far, police have confirmed there are no outstanding victims linked to the case.

Police Keep Details Under Wraps

Given the sensitive nature of the case, the Met has withheld specific details about the initial allegation and the exact location where it was reported.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” added the spokesperson.
