Armed Lewisham Burglary Sparks Major Police Operation
Two men rushed to hospital and five arrested after a tense armed burglary in Lewisham. The raid unfolded at 4am yesterday on Lee High Road when police on patrol were called to an aggravated burglary.
Firearm, Drugs and Stolen Goods Seized in Dramatic Raid
Armed cops and a police helicopter swooped on the scene. A gang armed with weapons including a firearm forced their way into a home where men were playing cards. They made off with cash, jewellery and other valuables.
Two victims were hurt and treated in hospital, thankfully with non-life-threatening injuries.
Five Men in 20s Busted with Firearm and Class-A Drugs
Nearby, officers detained five men in their twenties. Police found a holdall in a parked car containing a firearm and class-A drugs, plus another bag full of suspected stolen goods.
All five were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, firearm possession, and intent to supply class-A drugs. They remain in custody while the Met’s Flying Squad investigates.
