Drug Bust Uncovers Designer Haul in Stapleford

Police stopped a suspicious car on Toton Lane, Stapleford, just before 5pm on Thursday, July 13. What they found stunned them — a stash of cocaine, cannabis, cash, and mobile phones, some hidden inside a Louis Vuitton bag.

Luxury Goods Seized Alongside Drugs

Following the roadside stop, officers executed search warrants at two addresses linked to the suspects.

  • At an Exeter Road home, they uncovered high-end designer items including a pair of Louis Vuitton trainers worth around £1,000.
  • Two pairs of Louis Vuitton sunglasses, valued at £780 with receipts showing cash payment.
  • Ten boxes containing Air Jordan trainers, worth hundreds more.

All items were promptly seized by police, suspected to be bought with drug money.

More Drugs Found During Second Warrant

At a second address on Noel Street, officers recovered cannabis, suspected MDMA, and a mobile phone.

While in custody, one suspect, 22, was found with bags of white powder hidden in his jogging bottoms.

Suspects in Custody, Investigation Ongoing

Both men, aged 24 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.

“This was a great result by officers working together to build up a picture of this suspected drug operation,” said Neighbourhood Inspector Gordon Fenwick.

“What began as a car stop led us to a large quantity of drugs and a haul of designer items, some bought in cash – likely funded through illegal activities.”

“We’re continuing our investigation to uncover the scale of this operation and identify others involved.”

“If you think your designer lifestyle is paid for by crime, we’ll find you and take your goods – even your Louis Vuitton sunglasses.”
