Car Chaos in Tower Hamlets Ends in Arrest
Police in Tower Hamlets caught a heated clash on their Body Worn Video cameras after a man refused to move his car, blocking the highway and other drivers.
Refusal Sparks Drama
At around 5.30pm on Tuesday, 9 July, officers approached the man to speak about the obstruction. He flat-out refused to shift his vehicle or show his driving licence.
Arrest and Injuries Follow
- The 38-year-old was arrested for obstruction, assaulting police, and resisting arrest.
- He was taken to hospital as a precaution before being held at an east London police station.
- Two officers suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Investigation Underway
The incident has been passed to the Central East Command professional standards unit. Meanwhile, Tower Hamlets police say they’re listening to the local community as the situation unfolds.
