Car Smash in Folkestone: Rescue Crews Race to Scene

Emergency services rushed to a nasty collision on Canterbury Road, Folkestone, just before 6pm on Monday, 24 February 2025. Two cars crashed, sparking a major rescue operation.

Firefighters Use Jaws of Life to Free Trapped Motorist

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines to the crash site. Crews deployed hydraulic tools like the jaws of life, spreaders, rams, and cutting gear to pry open one vehicle. Stabilisation blocks, chocks, and braces helped secure the scene and free a trapped driver.

Paramedics and Specialist Teams Quickly Take Over

  • South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) attended promptly.
  • Both crash victims were handed over to paramedics for urgent medical assessment.

Investigation Underway as Victims Receive Care
