WW2 Bomb Found in Tangmere Sparks Evacuation
Police scrambled on Sunday evening after a piece of Second World War ordnance was uncovered in Hampden Place, Tangmere.
Evacuation and Bomb Squad Called In
Neighbours were quickly evacuated as a safety cordon sealed off the area. Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams were brought in to safely remove the dangerous find.
The operation ensured no casualties while the historic bomb was safely dealt with, bringing relief to local residents.
