Crash at Dawn Sparks Full Road Closure
Emergency services were scrambled just after 3am on Saturday, November 12, after reports of a serious collision. Multiple vehicles are involved on the coastbound side, with police and ambulance crews present on the London-bound carriageway. All lanes remain shut as officers launch a full investigation.

Official Diversion Routes
A National Highways spokesperson confirmed: “The A2 in Kent is closed in both directions between the M25/A282 and A2018 near Dartford due to a Kent Police-led incident. Police are on scene, supported by National Highways Traffic Officers. The closures will stay in place for investigation work.”
Westbound drivers:
- Exit at M25 Junction 2 and take the A225 (Princes Road)
- Continue along A225 before rejoining the A2 at Dartford Heath
Eastbound drivers: Follow the above diversion in reverse.
