Man Brutally Attacked Outside Darlington Bus Stop in Shocking Late Evening Assault
Police are hunting for five young men who launched a savage, unprovoked attack outside the Cornmill Centre in Darlington town centre last night at around 8.10pm.
Victim Hospitalised After Pizza Request Turns Violent
The victim, waiting at a bus stop with his wife, was viciously set upon after the suspects asked him for a slice of pizza—sparking a brutal assault. The motive remains unclear as the man suffered serious injuries and is now receiving hospital treatment.
Detectives Seek Crucial Witnesses and Car Owner
Darlington CID, led by Detective Sergeant Liam Robertson, is leading the probe. “This was an appalling attack which has left a man in hospital with serious injuries,” Robertson said, urging witnesses from the busy early evening scene to come forward.
Police are particularly keen to trace the owner of a small dark blue or purple car, possibly a Hyundai i10 or similar, spotted at the scene. Authorities believe this individual may hold key information.
