Brutal Knife Attack in Clydebank: Police Launch Urgent Hunt for Three Masked Assailants

Police Scotland are on high alert after a vicious stabbing in Clydebank on the afternoon of Saturday, January 13, 2024. Around 4:50pm, a 35-year-old man was ambushed while walking on Hume Street near Belmont Street.

Victim Targeted by Trio Armed with Blade

The victim was confronted by three attackers, two cloaked in black with snoods covering their faces, and a third wearing a light blue top and shorts. Armed with a bladed weapon, they swiftly fled towards Belmont Street and Argyll Road, leaving the man with serious injuries. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for emergency treatment.

Police Hunt for Clues, Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Constable Ross Gemmell is leading the investigation. He revealed: “We believe the victim was specifically targeted, but the motive remains unclear.” Officers have scoured CCTV footage and conducted local inquiries, but crucial information is still missing.

“Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information to come forward. Your help could be vital to our enquiries,”

said DC Gemmell.
