Young Woman Seriously Injured in Horror Crash on Sandpit Hill, Chislet
Crash Shakes Quiet Kent Village
Kent Police are hunting witnesses after a serious smash in Chislet near Canterbury left a young woman fighting for her life. Just before 11pm on Tuesday, 20 May 2025, a white VW Golf careered off the road on Sandpit Hill, hurtling into a ditch and slamming into a tree.
The car was heading north from Upstreet towards Chislet when it suddenly left the road on the offside.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Paramedics and Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) responded swiftly. The female driver, believed to be in her 20s, was treated at the scene before being rushed to a London hospital. She remains in a serious condition, with medics battling to save her.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
We urge anyone who saw the white VW Golf before or during the crash to get in touch,” said a Kent Police spokesperson. “Even the smallest details could be crucial to understanding how this tragic accident happened.”
