Drug Deal Nightmare: Two Men Stabbed Outside Women's Refuge
A drug deal gone horribly wrong has left two men fighting for their lives after a brutal stabbing outside a women’s refuge in Portsmouth. Police have arrested one woman but two knife-wielding suspects remain on the run.
Knife Attack Outside KS Convenience Store
The violent incident unfolded around 8.30pm outside KS Convenience Store on Somers Road. Two local men, both in their mid-20s, suffered serious knife wounds after an altercation with two attackers. One woman, described as being in her mid-20s with long brown hair, was arrested shortly after police stormed a nearby women’s refuge at 9.45pm.
Chaos at Women’s Refuge
Armed officers, some carrying riot shields, entered the refuge at 9.45pm. Moments later, a mobile phone and other property were thrown from an upstairs window, picked up by bystanders amid the chaos. Witnesses say the stabbing was linked to a heroin deal that went south inside one of the refuge’s back bedrooms.
Victims In Critical Condition
- One victim was rushed to Southampton General Hospital in critical condition.
- The second was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with serious stab wounds.
A witness told Spotted Portsmouth the black attacker wielded a 12-inch kitchen knife, even brandishing it at people before fleeing the scene. Both suspects have yet to be caught.
Shop Staff Left Shaken
The convenience store owners and staff were left traumatised but unharmed. The owner told UKNIP: “It was total panic. The stabbed men came into the shop, blood pouring everywhere, asking for a taxi. The police made me close the shop while they investigate. They’ve taped off the area.”
Meanwhile, police continue patrolling the neighbourhood, hunting the two dangerous men still at large.
