Woman Arrested After Horror Knife Attack in Dover

Knife Attack Shocks Biggin Street

A woman in her 50s was slashed with a large kitchen knife on Biggin Street, Dover, just after 10pm on Friday, 18 January 2025. The attacker, a stranger to the victim, stabbed her in the back before fleeing the scene.

The victim was rushed to hospital but thankfully suffered only minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Pub Staff Heroically Step In

Brave security guards from a nearby pub leapt to the victim’s aid, overpowered and disarmed the attacker, and held her until police arrived. Officers quickly arrested a 47-year-old woman at the scene, who is now in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

“This was a horrific incident, and our thoughts remain with the victim, who thankfully suffered no serious harm,” said Detective Chief Inspector Bev Morrison. “I commend the courageous actions of those who bravely intervened, putting themselves at risk without hesitation.”

Police Hunt for Witnesses as Investigation Unfolds

Detectives are piecing together what led to the shocking attack. Police urge anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward.
