Woman, 30, Arrested Over Shocking Enfield Stabbing Murder

Detectives have landed a major breakthrough in the murder probe of a 66-year-old man in Enfield. A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, 3 March. She remains in custody as police continue their inquiries.

Stabbing Claims Victim’s Life at Enfield Flats

The tragedy unfolded on Friday, 1 March, at 7:21pm. Police rushed to Lockhart Close after reports of a man found injured in the communal flats area. Officers discovered the victim with fatal stab wounds. Despite emergency services’ best efforts, the man died at the scene.

The victim’s identity hasn’t been officially confirmed, but detectives believe they know who he is and have informed his next of kin.

Detectives Demand Witnesses Come Forward

Over the weekend, cops conducted house-to-house inquiries and forensic examinations around the crime scene. Detective Chief Inspector Laura Nelson, leading the investigation, urged the public for help:

“Although an arrest has been made, it is vital that anyone with information about what happened on Friday evening comes forward to speak to us.”

DCI Nelson also called for dashcam footage from Lockhart Close, Derby Road, Lincoln Road, or nearby streets to aid the investigation.
