Woman in Critical Condition After Romford Hit-and-Run Horror
A 22-year-old woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a car on the busy A12 at Gallows Corner, Romford.
Crash Shakes Romford Late Wednesday
Police were called just before 10pm on Wednesday, 19 June following reports a female pedestrian had been struck on the A12. The scene sparked a major emergency response with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance rushing to help.
Victim Rushed to Hospital
The young woman was rushed to a south London hospital with critical injuries. Her family have been informed and are by her side.
Driver Stopped, No Arrest Made
The driver remained at the scene and has not been arrested. Investigators from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are digging into exactly what happened.
Detective Sergeant Jose Qureshi said: “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident. I am asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam footage, to come forward as soon as possible.”
