Serious Incident in Steine Garden
A woman has been left seriously injured after a noxious substance was thrown over her in Brighton. The terrifying incident took place at around 4.20pm on Thursday, May 20, at the doorway of a property in Steine Garden.
Police Hunt Suspect Who Fled
Sussex Police rushed to the scene, but the suspect vanished before officers arrived. Fast-paced enquiries are now underway to identify the culprit and find witnesses who saw the attack.
Victim in Hospital with Serious Injuries
The victim was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in a serious condition. Detective Sergeant Jennifer Pietersen revealed:
“The victim has suffered multiple serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. We are pursuing a number of enquiries to identify and arrest the suspect involved.”
She added that high-visibility patrols are ongoing across the city, along with door-to-door enquiries.
