Boy Hurt After Circus Truck Crash in Brighton’s Preston Park

A young boy, aged around eight or nine, was seriously injured after reportedly being run over by a circus truck in Brighton’s Preston Park on May 9, 2023.

Collision Shakes Preston Park

The crash occurred just after 1:30pm on Tuesday afternoon. Police say they received a call at 1:34pm reporting a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian in the park. The boy suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Airlifted to Hospital

Emergency services airlifted the victim to hospital for urgent treatment. The truck involved was secured, and the driver is cooperating with police. The exact circumstances of the crash remain unclear as inquiries continue.

Circus Berlin Involved

The circus truck belonged to Circus Berlin, who were due to run shows in Preston Park from tomorrow until Sunday. The troupe is aware of the incident but has yet to make an official statement.
