Brighton Police Donate £900 to Local Food Bank

Brighton and Hove City Police have handed over £900 to the Brighton Food Bank to boost its operations. The cash, coming from the Police Property Act Fund, will pay for extra shelving and cold storage at the food bank’s Stanley Road base, run by Brighton and Hove City Mission.

Helping 25 People Every Day

The food bank supports around 25 people daily, offering not just food but vital advice and support. This donation will help them store more fresh and non-perishable items, improving service for those in need.

Where Does the Money Come From?

The Police Property Act Fund is made up of cash raised from selling found or court-confiscated property. Instead of sitting idle, these funds are funnelled back into community projects and charities like the Brighton Food Bank, making sure the money helps those who need it most.
