New Footage Released in Search for Missing 14-Year-Old Rashid Elsafi-Bakkar

Detectives have shared three fresh video clips and a photo of missing 14-year-old Rashid Elsafi-Bakkar, ten days after he vanished from his home in Wembley. The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command has now taken the lead, concerned due to Rashid’s young age and the unusual circumstances.

Last Known Movements Caught on Camera

The first video shows Rashid walking near his Beresford Avenue home around 9:45pm on Sunday, 20 March. He’s seen heading towards Alperton, carrying a light-coloured rucksack. Rashid was last spotted at home around this time.

The second video captures Rashid walking on Sunleigh Road at about 10:10pm, then on Mount Pleasant moving towards Ealing Road at 10:15pm — the final confirmed sighting to date.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, dark jacket and trousers, and distinctive blue Nike trainers with a white tick.

Police Appeal to Public for Any Information

Detective Superintendent Pete Wallis: “Rashid’s family are being supported during this desperately worrying time. Ten days on, we’re extremely concerned for his welfare. We’re working closely with his school, Ark Elvin Academy, as staff and pupils are deeply worried. We urgently appeal for anyone who has seen Rashid or anyone he may be with to contact us immediately.”

“If you recognise the distinctive blue trainers or recall seeing a boy matching Rashid’s description, please come forward. Local residents, drivers, shopkeepers — please check any doorbell or dash-cam footage that might help. Every bit of information counts.”

“To Rashid: You are not in trouble. We just want you safe and home. Please get in touch.”
