Man Fatally Stabbed Near Abbey Estate, NW8

Police were called at 7.30pm on Friday, 29 December after the London Ambulance Service reported a stabbing near Gaymead, Abbey estate, Abbey Road, NW8.

Officers arrived to find a 29-year-old man seriously injured. They provided first aid before he was rushed to a West London hospital. Sadly, despite medical staff’s best efforts, he was declared dead at 9.55pm.

Investigation Underway as Homicide Squad Takes Over

The victim’s next of kin has been informed. A post-mortem is set to take place in due course.

A crime scene remains in place while officers piece together what happened. The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives are now leading the probe.

No arrests have been made so far.

Detectives Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson: “We want to speak to anyone in the Abbey estate area between 7 and 8pm on Friday who saw or heard anything suspicious linked to this fatal stabbing.

“Another family has been left devastated by knife crime. My detectives are working around the clock to find and arrest the person responsible.”
