Arrests Made After Police Stand-Off Following Stabbing Incident in Lincoln

Armed police were involved in a lengthy stand-off at a property in Lincoln after a man was found with life-threatening stab wounds. The incident unfolded on Ellison Street in the Bracebridge area on Friday afternoon.

Lincolnshire Police were called to a residence on Ellison Street at 3.47pm on Friday, where they discovered a man suffering from serious stab injuries. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Following the discovery, two women, aged 27 and 37, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. A third suspect, a 34-year-old man, was apprehended at 04:15 BST this morning after a tense negotiation with specially trained officers. He was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The road surrounding the property remains closed as police continue their investigation into the incident. Officers are urging anyone with information, footage, or who may have witnessed the event to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiries.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said, “We are taking this incident very seriously and are working diligently to understand the full circumstances. We encourage anyone who might have seen or heard something to contact us as soon as possible.

The police have set up a dedicated hotline for tips related to this case and are also accepting information through their website.
