Man taken to hospital following car and pedestrian collision in East London

Metropolitan Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.25pm to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on Ashwin Street at the junction with Dalston Lane, E8. A police spokesman said: Officers attended. The pedestrian, believed to be aged in his 20s, was taken to an east London hospital; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Road closures are in place.
