Two Retired Red Arrows Aircraft From Raf Scampton Are Being Auctioned Following The Closure Of The Base

Last week, Metcalf Farms Haulage Ltd transported the two aircraft from Scampton to Leyburn via the A1(M).
The aircraft are now on display at the Leyburn location and will be auctioned off by Agility on Friday, February 3.
We had the pleasure of moving two retired Red Arrows from RAF Scampton, which has been the home of the Red Arrows since 1983, making them one of the station’s longest-resident flying units,” the company said.
We have returned them to our own base camp at Washfold Farm for temporary storage until their new owners purchase them. “You could be the one!”
Scampton, famous for being the Dambusters squadron’s World War II base, will close in 2022 when the Red Arrows relocate to RAF Waddington.
