Woman Attacked and bag stolen in Maidstone

Witnesses are sought after a woman reported being robbed in Maidstone. The offence took place on a footpath leading from County Hall to Lower Boxley Road, between 11.45pm and 11.56pm on Sunday 6 May 2018. A man is reported to have approached the victim and struck her in the face before stealing a handbag. No serious injuries were sustained. In the moments leading up to incident the victim had walked down Pudding Lane and then Week Street. The suspect is described as being of mixed race and around 5ft 6ins tall. He had black hair and a short beard and was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
