Woman with children attacked on busy Oxford Street

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was assaulted on Oxford Street. Officers are also issuing an image of a male they want to trace in connection with this incident. The incident happened at approximately 2.45om on Saturday, 15 June outside River Island near the junction with Great Titchfield Street, W1. The woman, aged in her 50s, was walking with her niece, aged in her 20s, when they became involved in an altercation with a male and a female. The male spat at the women before walking across the road. The woman, aged in her 50s, remonstrated with him and took a picture of the male on her phone. She was subsequently pushed to the ground by the suspect who then fled into Oxford Circus Underground Station. The woman was not seriously injured.
