UK coronavirus death toll jumps by 23 overnight

By 9am on 18 March 2020, a total of 56,221 people had been tested for coronavirus in the UK. Of these, 2,626 tested positive, while 53,595 showed negative results.

Tragically, 104 patients who tested positive have now died. That’s a sharp rise of 23 deaths in just one night, highlighting the growing threat of COVID-19 across the country.
