London Streets Flooded After Burst Water Main Erupts
Chaos hit London early Saturday as a burst water main sent floodwaters surging to around two feet deep at street level. The deluge affected multiple properties across a wide area, leaving residents stranded and streets submerged.
Emergency Services Swamped With Calls
London Fire Brigade’s 999 Control Officers have been slammed with 18 emergency calls tied to the flooding. The first call came through at around 2:50 a.m. on December 17.
Firefighters Race to Battle the Flood
Crews from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Euston, North Kensington, and several other nearby stations rushed to the scene. They are currently battling the waters to protect homes and businesses.
