Deadly Smash Shuts M2 Motorway for Hours
A fatal crash has forced the closure of a large stretch of the M2 between Faversham and Maidstone. Kent Police are investigating after one person died in a nasty two-vehicle collision on Sunday morning.
Horrific Crash in Foul Weather
The smash happened around 7am amid horrible conditions. Two ambulances responded, and police forensic experts battled the bad weather to examine the scene. Several drivers were trapped in the chaos following the crash.
Road Blocked for Up to Five Hours
The closure is expected to last at least four to five hours as officers dig into the fatal incident. National Highways have set up green screens in a bid to keep the coastbound carriageway open.
Police to Issue Statement
Kent Police have been approached for comment and are expected to release an appeal and official statement shortly.
