The A2 coastbound is slammed shut after a horrific head-on crash near the Black Prince interchange. Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 6.30am on Saturday morning following a collision involving two vehicles.

Met Police officers have closed the road completely. Traffic is being forced to U-turn and exit at the Black Prince on-slip, causing chaos for morning commuters.

Gridlock has quickly formed, with drivers desperately seeking other routes to avoid the closure. London Ambulance and Met Police remain on site managing the serious incident.

National Highways Confirm Extended Traffic Stoppages

A National Highways spokesman said: “Due to a separate incident, traffic is currently stopped on the #A2 eastbound between the #A223 and the #A2018 near #Bexley. This is on top of the full closure already in place near #Dartford following the earlier crash this morning.”
