Chaos on the A31 as Blaze Breaks Out Near Ringwood
The A31 near Ringwood has been shut in both directions after a fierce fire broke out at a property next to the road. Drivers face major delays as emergency teams tackle the blaze.
Flammable Canisters Fuel Fire Fears
Highways England warns that the fire involves several flammable canisters, prompting a full closure of the carriageway between the Azalea roundabout (Ferndown) and Boundary Lane roundabout (St Leonards).
A spokesperson said: “Due to the nature of the fire, the A31 has been closed in both directions as a precaution while the fire is dealt with.”
Firefighters Battle Blaze with Safety Warnings Issued
Over 30 firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are tackling a fire that has spread to an outbuilding near the road.
Residents nearby are urged to keep doors and windows shut and remain indoors for safety.

- From the Azalea roundabout: Diversion via A31 and A348.
- From the Boundary Lane roundabout: Diversion via Boundary Lane or northbound on A31.
