Three Britons Detained Over Missing Weapon Licence

Kevin Cornwell, 53, a Middlesbrough paramedic working for a charity, is one of three men recently detained. The second man remains unnamed, while the third is thought to be 23-year-old Miles Routledge from Birmingham, who was evacuated from Afghanistan by British forces in 2021.

Missing Licence Sparks Arrest

The trio’s detention reportedly stems from a missing licence for a weapon found in Cornwell’s room.

Legal Representation and Welfare Updates

  • Presidium Network is representing Cornwell and the second man, but is not acting for the third.
  • Though there’s been no direct contact, Presidium believes all three are in good health and receiving proper treatment.
  • The Foreign Office confirms it is actively trying to get in touch with the detained men.
