Serious Crash Near Whitstable Sends Man to London Hospital

Kent Police are hunting for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A299 near Whitstable.

Red Ford Fiesta Swerves Off Road at Chestfield Tunnel

The red Ford Fiesta was heading coastbound on the A299 when it veered off near Chestfield Tunnel at around 6.50am on Friday, 24 January 2020.

Emergency crews, including South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue, rushed to the scene. The injured man was airlifted to a London hospital in critical condition.

Road Closures in Place as Police Probe Crash

The coastbound carriageway remains closed between Whitstable and Herne Bay junctions, with delays expected until after midday while the Serious Collision Investigation Unit carries out inquiries.
