Huge Cornfield Blaze Sparks Major Fire Response
Firefighters were called to a massive blaze engulfing a cut cornfield measuring 100 by 100 metres. Hay bales caught fire, adding fuel to the flames.
Five Fire Engines Battle Fierce Flames
The Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) quickly dispatched five fire engines and their Technical Rescue Unit to tackle the inferno. Crews used hose reel jets, flex-packs, and beaters, while drag rakes helped tear apart smouldering hay bales to douse all remaining hotspots.
No Injuries But Serious Damage
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. However, the fire completely destroyed the cut corn and hay bales, leaving a trail of destruction.
Suspicious Fire Under Investigation
Authorities suspect the blaze was started deliberately. An investigation is now underway to get to the bottom of this shocking arson.
