Flames Force Mass Mayfair Restaurant Evacuation
Shock and chaos hit London’s glitzy Mayfair on Friday night as Christmas decorations went up in flames at the celebrity hotspot MNKY HSE. Hundreds of diners, including several A-listers, fled the scene in panic as smoke and fire engulfed the swanky Latin American eatery.
Scary Scenes as Fire Breaks Out at MNKY HSE
Social media exploded with dramatic videos showing terrified guests sprinting through an archway blazing with flames. Staff and fellow diners evacuated more than 300 people from inside the restaurant on Dover Street, where stars from TV’s Love Island are known to hang out.
Fire Brigade Rushes to Scene – Fire Already Out
London Fire Brigade was called at 9.20pm but found the blaze had already been doused by quick-thinking staff on arrival. “Christmas decorations inside the building were alight and had been extinguished before firefighters arrived,” they confirmed.
With five fire engines and around 35 firefighters from Soho, Lambeth, Kensington, and Chelsea stations on site, the area was secured and Dover Street temporarily closed. Thermal imaging ensured the fire was fully out, and no one was left inside.
Minor Injuries but Cause Still Unknown
London Ambulance treated a man and woman at the scene, both believed to have minor injuries. The London Fire Brigade is investigating how the festive decor ignited to prevent another near-disaster at this celeb favourite.
