Fire Chaos at Celebrity Hotspot MNKY HSE in Mayfair

Hundreds of diners bolted in panic from Mayfair’s swanky MNKY HSE Latin American restaurant on Friday night after Christmas decorations burst into flames. Shocking videos on social media captured terrified guests screaming and sprinting through an arch of fire to escape.

Mass Evacuation and Rapid Fire Response

More than 30 firefighters from Soho, Lambeth, Kensington, and Chelsea rushed to the scene on Dover Street. Over 300 diners and staff were evacuated swiftly as the blaze spread. Luckily, the restaurant staff managed to put out the flames before firefighters arrived around 9.20pm.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said, “Christmas decorations inside the building were alight and had been extinguished before firefighters arrived.” The brigade conducted a thorough search to ensure no one was trapped inside.

Injuries Reported But No Serious Harm

Emergency crews treated a man and woman at the scene, but neither sustained serious injuries. Dover Street remained cordoned off while crews used thermal imaging to make the area safe. The fire was declared under control by 10.18pm.

Five fire engines and approximately 35 firefighters tackled the incident. The London Fire Brigade is now investigating what sparked the festive fire at this celeb-favourite dining spot, known for attracting the Love Island cast and other VIPs.
