Blaze Tears Through Iconic KOKO Nightclub in Camden
A massive fire ripped through the legendary KOKO nightclub in Camden Town last night. Fire crews were scrambled just before 9pm on Monday to tackle the blaze at the beloved venue, which was closed and undergoing refurbishment.
Flames Rip Through Roof of Famous Camden Spot
Workers nearby jumped into action, helping firefighters cut through locks to gain entry as the fire blazed out of control. A spokesperson from the London Fire Brigade revealed that 30% of the six-floor building’s roof was ablaze when crews arrived.
“We were called at 8.56pm to a fire at a Camden nightclub under refurbishment. Thirty per cent of the roof is alight. Firefighters are working hard to save the rest of the building. Please avoid the area if possible.”
Massive Response: 60 Firefighters Battle Flames
Emergency services deployed six fire engines and 60 firefighters to the scene. The iconic North London venue, known for hosting some of the biggest nights in town, was mid-refurbishment when the fire broke out. Authorities urge locals to steer clear while crews continue their efforts.
