Huge Blaze Erupts at Whitstable Harbour Commercial Building

Firefighters are battling a massive inferno at a commercial warehouse on the edge of Whitstable Harbour. The blaze broke out shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday, sending huge flames pouring from a building right next to the town’s famous fish market.

Ten Fire Engines Called In for Fierce Fire

Ten fire engines and a height vehicle from Kent Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene, working hard to douse the flames. A large high-volume pump has been deployed to help control the fire. Authorities have closed nearby roads to aid firefighting efforts.

Safety Warning Issued to Locals

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service remains at the scene of a fire at a commercial premises in Whitstable Harbour. Ten fire engines and a height vehicle are in attendance, and crews are making steady progress, using hose reel jets and compressed air foam to tackle the fire.”

“Anyone living or working nearby is advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke and avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident. Please share this message with anyone who may not have internet access, thank you.”
