UK and France Join Forces to Tackle Summer Border Chaos
With passenger numbers surging, France and the UK have teamed up to keep border queues moving smoothly. Both sides are working hard to manage the busy Channel crossings during this peak travel period.
Border Forces Step Up Controls
The Police Aux Frontières and the UK Border Force, alongside port operators, rolled out special plans this weekend. Their goal? To speed up checks at the converging controls on both sides of the Channel and maximise passenger flow.
Cross-Channel Cooperation Set to Continue
Officials from both countries promise ongoing cooperation to ensure smooth travel—not just now, but throughout summer and beyond. Freight and passenger traffic will be closely managed to avoid bottlenecks and keep holidaymakers and hauliers moving.
In a joint statement: “France and the United Kingdom are committed to working closely to guarantee seamless crossing for all travellers and freight this summer and in the future.”
