Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after being hospitalised with persistent coronavirus symptoms, sources reveal.
Condition Worsens Overnight
A No. 10 spokesperson confirmed: “Since Sunday evening, the Prime Minister has been under medical care at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, after developing ongoing COVID-19 symptoms. This afternoon, his condition worsened, and on medical advice, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit.”
Dominic Raab Steps Up
The PM has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him as needed. No.10 assured: “The PM is receiving excellent care and thanks all NHS staff for their dedication and hard work.”
