Bounty Bars Face the Chopping in Celebrations Tubs!
Mars Wrigley is shaking up your favourite Christmas chocolate mix. After 39% of fans said they want Bounty bars permanently axed from Celebrations tubs, the chocolate giant is testing “No Bounty” tubs at 40 Tesco Christmas Market locations this festive season.
What’s Changing in the Tubs?
From November 8 to December 18, shoppers can find Celebrations tubs with no coconut-flavoured Bounty bars. Instead, these tubs will be packed with extra Mars, Snickers, Milky Way, Galaxy, and Maltesers to fill the gap left behind.
This follows last year’s quirky Bounty Return Scheme, where disgruntled fans swapped their coconut bars for Maltesers after Christmas.
Bounty’s Divisive Reputation
- Survey of 2,000 Brits revealed 39% want Bounty gone for good.
- 22% rate Bounty the least appealing inside the tub.
- Yet 18% named Bounty their favourite – especially among over-55s (38%).
- Over half (58%) expect this change to spark some festive chocolate feuds!
“You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone,” said Emily Owen, Senior Brand Manager at Celebrations. “We’re testing removing Bounty completely based on popular demand, but there’s still a chance for secret Bounty lovers to get their fix after the trial.”
Try the Trial Tubs at Tesco
If you’re shopping at Tesco Christmas Markets, you can swap any Celebrations tub bought that day for a “No Bounty” version at participating stores. The trial kicks off at Baguley Extra, Manchester on November 8 and wraps up at Gallions Reach Extra on December 18.
