Off-duty BTP Officer Breaks Up Teen Brawl at Moulsecoomb Station
Heroic Intervention on the Platform
An off-duty British Transport Police (BTP) officer sprang into action after spotting a tense scuffle at Moulsecoomb railway station. The officer saw about 15 youths clashing with Southern Rail UK enforcement staff and didn’t hesitate to jump off the train to help.
Bravery Without Backup
Amid the chaos, the off-duty cop detained the main troublemaker, who had spat at a Southern Rail officer during the fight. All this was done with no protective gear, highlighting the officer’s guts and quick thinking under pressure.
Backup Arrives, Calm Restored
Reinforcements from BTP Sussex and Sussex Police soon arrived, taking control of the situation. The detained offender was handed over for further legal action, and the platform was secured.
“Our officers are never off duty,” BTP Kent said, praising the swift response.
