Big Bucks Boost From Airbourne Airshow
The 2023 Eastbourne International Airshow didn’t just wow crowds with daring stunts – it also raised a hefty £27,000. Thanks to generous visitors and bucket collections, over £8,000 has now been handed out to three deserving regional charities.
Charities Cash In

- The Salvation Army
- Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex
Each charity pocketed a tidy £2,696.45 – that’s 10% of the total haul. The cheques were presented at a special ceremony held at the International Lawn Tennis Centre, Devonshire Park, where charity reps gratefully accepted the donations.
Community Effort Shines
The Rotary Clubs of Sovereign Harbour and Hailsham, who organised the bucket collections during the August event, joined Eastbourne Borough Council officials for the handover. Their hard work and the public’s generosity made this charity boost possible.
