Woman Rescued from Treacherous Cliffs Near South Foreland Lighthouse
A dramatic rescue mission kicked off near South Foreland Lighthouse this Friday afternoon after reports of a woman in distress on the cliffs. The alarm was raised at around 3:30 pm by a vigilant member of the public who contacted the Coastguard.

Emergency services quickly mobilised. A Coastguard rescue helicopter soared over the scene, while the All Weather Lifeboat from Dover was launched. Coastguard teams from Deal and Langdon scrambled to assist. The South East Coast Ambulance Service sent an ambulance plus their specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to support the operation.
