Wildfire Sparks Alarm in Joyden’s Wood: Fire Crews Race to Tackle Blaze
Kent Fire and Rescue Service jumped into action this Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out in Joyden’s Wood. The call came in just after 4:09pm from Summerhouse Drive, where flames erupted in the wooded area.
Rapid Response: Fire Crews on the Frontline
Two fire engines, a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV), and a wildfire response van were dispatched immediately. Firefighters wasted no time, dousing the flames with high-pressure hose reel jets and bringing the blaze under control by 4:55pm.

No Injuries, Cause Unknown
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. While the fire is out, the cause remains a mystery. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
