Desperate Hunt Underway for Missing 9-Year-Old Charlotte Sena

More than 100 volunteers and officials are urgently searching for 9-year-old Charlotte Sena, missing after a solo bike ride at Moreau Lake State Park, upstate york/">New York. The young girl vanished on Saturday evening during a camping trip with family and friends.

Final Sightings and Growing Alarm

Charlotte, wearing an eye-catching orange tie-dyed Pokémon shirt, dark blue trousers, and a grey bike helmet, went out for one last solo spin after cycling laps with friends. She never returned. Her parents raised the alarm after 15 minutes. Her bike was found abandoned around 6:45pm on one of the park’s loops.

Lt. Colonel Richard L. Mazzone confirmed Charlotte’s disappearance was reported just two minutes after her bike was discovered. Authorities quickly launched a full-scale search involving bloodhounds, drones, underwater teams, and cutting-edge tech experts scanning phones and communications in the area.

  • An AMBER alert was issued Sunday morning, highlighting fears Charlotte may have been abducted.
  • Moreau Lake State Park, covering 4,600 acres of rugged woodland 45 miles north of Albany, has proved a challenging terrain.
  • The Schenectady Fire Department, linked to Charlotte’s family, is also on the ground aiding the search.

Governor Pleads for Public Help

“Hearts are broken here today in New York,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “Hopefully there will be a reunion, hopefully there will be a family traumatised but reunited. That is our prayer and our hope.”

Charlotte, a fourth grader and newly elected class officer, has left her community devastated and desperate for answers. Authorities urge anyone with information to call 911 immediately as the massive search drags on into a second day.
