Detectives Release E-fit Of Teenager In Hither Green Assault Investigation

Metropolitan Police Detectives investigating an assault in Hither Green have released an electronic facial identification (e-fit) image of a teenager they are looking to identify. The incident occurred at approximately 13:30 on Thursday 28 September when a woman in her 40s was walking along Brownhill Road, SE6 in the direction of Hither Green.

According to reports, the woman was approached by two young men on the street. One of the teenagers attempted to snatch her bag, but when she refused to let go, he proceeded to head-butt her. The suspect in question is believed to be between 16-18 years old.

PC Hayley Sheehan is leading the investigation and is urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the young man in the e-fit to come forward. PC Sheehan expressed her concern for the victim, stating, “This was a very distressing incident for the woman involved. We have been investigating the offense, but unfortunately, so far, we have not identified a suspect.”

PC Sheehan is appealing to the public for their assistance, particularly individuals who may have been in the area on Thursday 28 September or those who reside or work in the vicinity and might recognize the young man depicted in the e-fit.

Those who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or submit a tip online at crimestoppers-uk.org. PC Sheehan emphasized the importance of sharing any relevant information or concerns, as it could potentially provide the breakthrough needed in the case.

Detectives are urging anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to call 101 and reference case number 4268/28SEP23.
