King Alfred Pools Splash Back This Easter!

Brighton’s beloved King Alfred Leisure Centre pools are making a big comeback! After being shut since January 6 due to a major boiler breakdown, the pools will reopen on Saturday, April 1. Hot water and heating issues meant swimmers had to wait, but not for much longer.

Major Repairs and Slick Upgrades

Thanks to extensive repair work, the pool water is now being warmed to perfect swimming temps just in time for the Easter holidays. The council took full advantage of the closure to spruce up the centre. Visitors will spot fresh decoration, new floor coverings in the foyer and gym, plus a shiny refurbished ballroom dance floor. Better still, all new locker keys have been installed in the wet changing area to improve the visitor experience.

Free Swim Deal for Under 18s

The pools officially open at 8am on April 1. Best news? All city residents aged 18 and under can enjoy free swimming sessions! Freedom Leisure is pushing this offer hard online, encouraging young locals to dive straight in and swim for free.

Get ready, Brighton – it’s time to make a splash again!
