Dog Dies in Basement Blaze at Folkestone Flat

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a fire at an unoccupied basement flat on Guildhall Street, Folkestone, around 7.30pm on Saturday.

Firefighters Battle Flames

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames using hose reel jets. They entered the property to discover a beloved pet dog had sadly died in the fire. Fortunately, no other casualties were reported.

Smoke Cleared, Investigation Underway

Firefighters used a large fan to clear thick smoke from the flat. The cause of the blaze remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation to find out what sparked the deadly fire.
